Mother's day pop up shop thanks
A massive thanks to Megan Kenneally-Stone for organising the pop up shop. Such a great idea – and loads of lovely gifts this year. Here is a message from Megan:
Well we hope everyone has a fabulous Mothering Sunday!
The pop up shop was a great success this year and the afternoon sessions to buy extra gifts was a fabulous success too.
The children have been amazing. Polite, excited and decisive about the gifts they selected in the pop up shop. It is a true pleasure to open the pop up shop to enable the children to take control and select a gift for their special someone.
After school on Wednesday and Thursday we welcomed children from Nursery who were brave enough to leave mum at the door. We saw loads more dads and granddads in the shop too this year. Best of all we saw older siblings supporting their younger siblings to make their own choices.
Big thanks to all of those people who donated fabric, tombola gifts that found a new life and to El Pepperell for sewing up a storm of new products. Ruth Cheeseman, Jennifer Wood, Emma DaCorsi, Lianne Evans, Ann Marshall, Janet Lewis. All lent a big hand in the shop. Lorraine Ralph always there with her time, cash flow systems and her generosity!!
A thanks to the class teachers for their patience , Oli for helping me set up tables and the office team for sending out all the texts!!!
I loved every minute!
Last but not least a gigantic thanks to Mr Hitchcock who gave over the library which made it possible to set up a great shop atmosphere and also scheduled slots into the school day for children to visit with their class. We all know how busy it is at school but this event would not have been such a success without Mr Hitchcock and all his positive support yesterday!!
