Kik Plastic is coming to our school!
Departing from London on the 5th May, the Kik-Plastic tour – https://www.kikomatthews.co.uk/kik-plastic – will see world record ocean rower Kiko Matthews cycle 7200km of the Great British coastline, participating in over 70 beach cleans along the way. Each day, Kiko will be joined by local cyclists ready to dust off their bikes and helmets and come out and cycle.
Working with existing beach clean organisers, such as the Marine Conservation Society, Keep Britain Tidy, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and British Kitesurfing Association, the tour aims to reach as many people as possible, and to expand the growing beach cleaner network around the UK, leaving a lasting legacy in local communities.
The tour will be coming to Budleigh Salterton on the evening of 13th May. We have a special assembly in the afternoon and then head for beach clean at 4:30pm. Please meet in Lime Kiln car park.
