Home learning during school closure
Please visit the Cedar Online Classroom to find out what your home learning is today.
Cedar Class starts the day at 8:45 and pick up is at 3:15.
A typical week in Cedar Class:
Water bottles everyday please.
Monday – RWI book change. Please only bring in your reading pouches every Monday.
Come to school wearing PE kits on Mondays.
Thursday – Named swimming kit (swimming costume/trunks, towel, hat and goggles).
We would like to do something for the children who are missing out on being able to celebrate their birthdays with pals in the current climate.
So… we are going to have a big birthday bash on the last Friday of every month to celebrate all the children who have had a birthday in that month.
All the children in the class will be invited to come to school in their party clothes and we will have some dancing, party games and treats.
We hope this will go some way towards making life a bit more normal for them and giving them a birthday celebration with their friends.
Children who have had birthdays in Sept, Oct and Nov will be celebrated at the end on November.
The first party will be Friday 4th December.
Autumn Second Half Term
Current home-learning expectations
We have really enjoyed sharing our reading rivers in Cedar Class. You have worked very hard on them and it’s lovely to see the reading you are sharing at home.
Please ensure that you and your Year One child are sharing a book every day. The children are now bringing home RWI books to share at home. These are changed every Monday.
Reception children will begin to bring RWI books home after October half term. In the meantime, you are receiving daily Tapestry messages about the new sound your child has learned and how it is formed. Along with practising the letter formation you can continue to read your favourite books at home or from our school library.
Any other information?
Don’t forget to upload a photo on Tapestry if there is something your Reception child would like to share with us!
