Swimming – Year 2 – Tuesday. We are currently requesting a swimming volunteer to support this session. If you are available between 10.45-12 please contact the office. Please note Year 3 will not be swimming this term.

Autumn term parents evenings will run on Monday 4th November (3.15-7.30) and Thursday 7th November (1.15-6)
Monday 26th November – INSET day.
Class information presentation – Tuesday 17th September (3.30 – 4 then repeated at 4-4.30)
The curriculum for this term
This half term, Rowan class will learn about Ancient Egypt. We will cover topics such as mummification, the importance of the river Nile, daily life in Ancient Egypt and much more! We will have fun mummifying apples and completing Ancient Egyptian inspired crafts.
After we have completed our Ancient Egyptian learning, we will move on to studying rivers. In particular, we will learn about the water cycle, journey of a river and its features.
Current home-learning expectations
Reading – Year 2 – 15 minutes per day, Year 3 – 20 mins minimum. (please record in the reading logs as these will be checked weekly.)
Spelling – New spellings will be given each week to practise at home.
Maths – Please log into Times Table Rockstars to practise multiplication and related division facts at home. If time, please also revise number bonds to 10 and 20.
