As the Headteacher it gives me pleasure to welcome you to our school.
I feel very privileged to be part of the St Peter’s community. We are very lucky to have such great learners, parents, community groups and an amazing locality. How many schools can boast they have a beach, river and heath-land on their doorstep? How many schools still have a swimming pool? We have high academic standards, superb musical opportunities and a wealth of sports clubs and activities.
We have created a unique St Peter’s curriculum to maximise the learning experiences of our pupils. Our motto is ‘Growing together in mind, body and spirit’ which means we are all working together to achieve academic, sporting, spiritual and musical excellence, whilst enabling our pupils to become fantastic citizens for the future.
We are a Church of England school, with strong links to St Peter’s church. Our Christian values permeate throughout our community, encouraging everyone to live life in all its fullness (John 10v10) as we demonstrate love (The Lost Son), compassion (The Good Samaritan), thankfulness (The Ten Lepers) and mutual respect for one another, enabling our pupils to become fantastic citizens for the future. At the moment we have passionate pupils who are aiming to change our school and community into a more sustainable eco-environment.
The last inspection of St Peter’s judged the school to be good with many outstanding features and we constantly strive to move our school forward. Whatever the ability and disposition of your child it is our aim to motivate and nourish their potential. Please come and visit us and see for yourself.
