School Council at St Peter's

Every year the children vote for 2 members of their class to be on the School Council. These children then tackle various issues for their peers through the year with Mrs Roberts. These issues range from playtime behaviour to dog mess on the pavements around the school. Lovely….. being part of St Peter’s School Council is not for the faint-hearted!!

We really enjoy performing in collective worship and the rest of the school listen to us really well because we present it in a fun way. This year we have tackled how to use the equipment at lunchtimes sensibly, we took part in anti-bullying week by performing a drama which encouraged the use of our friendship bench in collective worship, we have helped the teachers in designing a wonderful quiet area for children at playtimes and we have also worked with the newspapers to try to clean up the area around our school.

We are now going on to look at how we can improve the facilities of the library at lunchtimes.
